Safety systems
Protective cover
If a foreign object becomes lodged between the skirt panel and the steps, the escalator automatically stops.
Safety at the balustrade entry
If a foreign object enters this zone, the system automatically stops the escalator.
Drive chain protection
In the event of excessive stretching or breakage of the drive chain, the escalator automatically stops.
Reverse motion protection
The main brake is fitted with a sensor that prevents unintended reversal of the direction of travel.
Step sag protection
Monitoring devices at the drive and control station guarantee no gaps during operation.
Step chain rupture protection
If abnormal bending of a step is detected, the escalator stops before it reaches the comb plate.
Comb plate protection
If a foreign object becomes lodged between the step and the comb plate, a safety switch is triggered on both sides.
Missing step detection
Monitoring devices are located at the drive and control station for continuous supervision.
Escalator arrangement
Periodic arrangement (one-way movement)
Suitable for operation between three floors in a smaller shopping center. This solution ensures efficient passenger-flow control while optimizing space and costs under limited architectural conditions.
Parallel continuous arrangement (two-way movement)
This configuration is extremely advantageous for owners of commercial premises, as it allows the placement of display cases and advertising elements along the path to the escalator — increasing dwell time and the potential for purchases.
Cross continuous arrangement (two-way movement)
Cross-arranged escalators installed on several levels serve both ascent and descent simultaneously. Most commonly used in shopping centers and public spaces with heavy pedestrian traffic.
Continuous arrangement (one-way movement)
A continuous configuration connecting several floors in one direction. Extremely efficient in large buildings with heavy traffic — shopping centers, airports or train stations.
Moving walkways
Moving walkways are an important element for managing passenger flow in high-traffic buildings. They are horizontal or slightly inclined platforms that facilitate the movement of people over long distances effortlessly — especially in shopping centers, airports, train stations, and public buildings.
The decorative configuration of the moving walkway directly influences the building's architectural appearance. FUJI offers a rich variety of designs and finishes, adapted to the interior styles of diverse commercial and public spaces.
